What is a Master Planned Community?
You may hear the term from time to time, but people often wonder, “what is a master planned community?”. Lets talk about that. To start, here is a pretty good definition.
Master Planned Community: A type of residential plan that includes an unusual number of recreational amenities such as parks, golf courses, lakes, bike paths, and jogging trails. The scope of the plan is very large scale and the number and variety of amenities clearly separates it from a normal plan for a housing subdivision.
Its more than a neighborhood or a subdivision. Its a place you can do more than just come home to. Its a place you can LIVE! It brings so much more value than buying a home elsewhere. Master planned communities are planned out to a “T” before dirt is ever even moved. They are laid out so well right from the beginning.
Parks, biking/running trails, water features, swimming pools and even schools are pretty common within these communities. How great is it that where you live, is also where your kids go to school and where you spend quality family time on the weekends? You get access to these amenities that others in town don’t have, simply because of where you chose to buy your home!
Did you know that MPC’s statistically are more resilient during market fluctuations? With the added value of the extra amenities available to homeowners, it makes it much more attractive when the time comes to sell. Who wouldn’t appreciate that?!
Are there any MPC’s in DFW?
YES! They are becoming more and more popular! We have a new one in Mansfield, TX. South Pointe. We had the privilege of visiting the community this week. We met with 3 builders there, walked through several model homes and I was VERY impressed! This community is going to be exceptional. Walking/jogging/biking trails, several ponds with fountains and fishing piers, a resort style swimming pool, parks and 4 schools! Each builder I met with had several floor plans they are offering with sizes and prices that will fit such a wide variety of buyers in todays market. If you are looking at buying or building a NEW home in this area, you need to check out South Pointe! You will not be disappointed.
